Ok please do shoot me should this be cleared up in another tread but I want to know. Do the people who recieve invites to use Windows Live Messenger become accepted for future BETAs or is this just a one off thing. After being "added" to they become official BETA testers?

No, it's one time thing and you don't become part of the beta group (don't have access to the beta site, etc.).

They are official testers but they dont get to go in the newsgroups or report bugs...
I dont think they are invited automatically in the next beta.

They aren't offical testers, they are people who were invited to preview the new messenger before the rest of the world is able too (and are used to test the servers capacity to hold the amount of data its going to have too eventually).

So... "Beta User" rather than "Beta Tester"

They don't "report bugs", he's right. They instead use the Help -> Send Feedback feature or the 'WLM rant form".
