Hi guys !

As i just tried, the Wiz fonction dont work when the screen saver is on.
One of my contacts came to me with this issue.
MSN Messenger 7.5.311 & Messenger Plus 3.62.146 (To be confirmed by the user)

Is there a way for Messenger Plus to be able to work the wiz when the screen saver is on ?

Sorry could not see the options of Messenger Plus by my self.
For me, Messenger Plus is uninstalled for Live Messenger 8.0 (Bêta tester)

A screensaver is ment to stop when you do anything on your computer (even clickin mousebutton oughta stop it), i don't see how you can get the wizard to run whilst the screensaver is on (afterall the only thing the screensaver shows is the screensaver, not the desktop etc..so to start anything you need to stop the screensaver first).

Yes i know, exemple.

My Msn Messenger is on (On line) my screen saver is on, the contact sends me a wiz, i dont receive it.

Of course if i touche my mouse the screensaver comme off but i dont receive it when the screensaver is on.

Is there a way for Messenger Plus to be able to send the wiz even when the screensaver is on ?

Now you got me a bit confused here. What do you mean with a wiz? A buzz or a wink? If you mean those then you might want to change a setting in MSN Messenger: tools > options..on the personal tab there's a feature to turn your status to busy when running a full screen app, turn that one off

Yep i talking about the Wiz fonction.
The fonction that make the contact Windows shake and sends a sound.

In my case these options in ''personnal''.

Abcent after 5 minutes (Uncheck)

Sorry my MSN Messenger is in french.

Wiz dont work when the screensaver is on.

I see you've unchecked the one i ment, if that doesn't work then i'm afraid there's nothing else. You could contact MSN/microsoft and make the suggestion to allow buzzes to go through screensavers (not sure if that's possible though)..like an extra option (we don't want that when using another full screen app now do we..could get very annoying). You can leave feedback through the menu: Help > send feedback.

Since i dont have Messenger Plus installed i dont remember if there was an option in Messenger Plus to this effect !

No such thing in Messenger Plus! Eagle, atleast not concerning buzzes..only for notifications (popups) to be displayed when on busy.

Hopefully MSN will consider your suggestion, i see this as very useful providing it's an option one can switch on and off and is tied to screensavers only.
