this may not be a real bug,but need improve
when 2 messenger accounts login on 1computer and user select the same dir to save chatlogs,the first account's chatlog will overwrite with no prompt when the second account start chat.

there's no warning texts on chatlog dir select window,and no check if that dir has some old chatlogs

Messenger of Plus! chatlogs?
This is due to the fact Messenger and Plus! are not designed for polygamy. The best way to get round this is to set them to different folders.

It overwrites beacuse plus dosent save the logs in real-time. There is a delay before it updates the log file (Usually when you close the window or after 15mins etc)

If I remember correctly, the chats were actually appended to the text file (which is exactly what I expected it to do). Anybody else can confirm this?

correct...

logs aren't overwritten, never. New stuff is appended to already existing logs.

Logs which, of course, already exist because you save them to the same directory; It is not logic to save logs from two different account to the same directory. Any program will either append or either overwrite the already existing logs because it is the logical way to do...

At worst, in Messenger Plus!, what can happen is that a new log file is created with an appended ".1" extension. But this only happens in certain specific cases. Either way, logs are never overwritten...

Thanks for confirming that CookieRevised. Yes I have seen MsgPlus only adding a .1 extension and a possible reasons is when you switch from ANSI to UTF-8 Encoding for Chat Logging.
