I save my chat logs on a network drive so that they're accessible no matter which PC I'm using.
I also use Messenger on my notebook, however, which isn't always connected to the network. Currently I don't use chat logging on my notebook, even though I'd like to.
I was wondering what would happen if I turned it on and tried to use chat logging while not being connected to the network (i.e. the chat logging directory isn't available and can't be created).

RE: Chat Logging to a network drive
TBH, it shouldn't let an inaccessible network drive go by silently: at least pop up a single error saying the network drive is inaccessible, and disable logging again. That way, at least users are aware there's a problem.
