Ok, I was installing a program and at the end of the install a nice and convenient blue screen of death came up. So I swore a bit and restarted my computer. While restarting I press F8 and did a "Restore to last known good configuration" and let it start back up. Since I did that it fixed my problem but! TA DA my Windows XP is extremely slow. I drag a window and it breaks up across the screen because of the lag. My programs run fine but Windows is slow.
How can I figure out what is causing this slowness. It’s never happened before.

In the task manager it doesn't say any program is useing the CPU alot when idle. The CPU useage is at 0% except for when I go to move a window then the CPU jumps up to 100% on the explorer.exe process.

RE: Computer Running REALLY slow
reinstall the graphics card drivers and make sure nothing unnecessary is starting up when you turn on your computer. go to start>run>msconfig>start up tab or whatever the last tab is and then select things to not start up etc. then click ok.
if the gfx card is not integrated in the mobo then you could change apg/pci slots and then reisntall it.
