Not sure if it'll work or if it's the same thing as what was previously posted... but Restoration can do what you asked for... unless it's too late. |

How. insert the XP CD into drive an reboot an boot from CD an let it pretend youur reinstalling windows, ( when you arent, but then choose i think its called Select R For Repair that may work

No you dont want to run the recovery console or even repair Windows. It will only make things worse.

to do what?..its worked for me, i used a program called Cleanup 4.0 it was suposed to only cleanup Temprary files an rubbish, but it cleaned up me Startup Menu also. how i recovered from that was i used a System Repair Not a System Restore
