Hello Everybody !

I have something to ask you all folks ....

When you customize your away message with plus ! you can add specification and it entered it in your name between ( )....
But these ( ) look grey, not black

I've look at this and realize that in the name it's written { } and it appears like ( ) in the contac list...

I would like to know if it's possible to write my name between { } and that my name appears between ( ) in grey....I've tried it in many way, with spaces, whitout, everything ! but I,ve not tried addins special sign or anything...

If someone knoe how to do it ....TELL ME !

do you mean that you want your name grey?

in convo type /nick ctrl+k (choose grey)<nick goes here>

you could also put the alt+0160 character as your nick (to have a blank one), and then use the custom away message to set uour name as you wanted.

From my little experiment I just did, I don't think you can just add braces and make it work. So you'll have to just make that bit grey.

No he means he wants his custom away message to look authentic, he wants ( )'s instead of {}'sand he wants the writing black not grey.. I think this has been asked many times before and the answers always no, sorry.

I thought the whole point was that they're grey, to match the Messenger statuses.

What I really wanted is only add {} to make my name grey even for the ones that don't have msgplus.

Thanls annyway, I think its impossible to do...

By following what Supersonicdarky said, you will stay online.

When you use a custom status, your display name becomes

<special character>Original Nickname {custom status}

---

Without Messenger Plus!, it will appear exactly like that, except the special character wont be visible (except in rare cases).

Totally and completely impossible....

The coloring system and the custom statusses (the ones between {} and visible in Messengers as a greyed status between ()) are things from Messenger Plus! itself; Messenger has got absolutely nothing to do with it: it is Messenger Plus! itself which interprets the color codes and interprets the custom status between {} and let it see like you see it (when Plus! is installed).

In other words, without Messenger Plus! it is absolutely not possible as those interpretations are not build in into Messenger, but in Messenger Plus!...
