rite i been lookin round this site 4 how 2 do this n got no wer coz all the answers are a load of bollocks!

Put the codes at the beginin of ur name for ALL of ur name, or put it b4 wer u want the style 2 start!

We all kno 2 get ur name in colour u put ·$12  (or the number u want, press ctrl + K to get the colour box)

to get ur name bold use               ·#

to get ur name italic use              ·&

to get ur name underlined use       ·@

to get ur name striked out use       ·'

Make sure u COPY the code bcoz the · is a special character!

Hope dis helps every1 lookin 2 do dis coz i cudnt find fuck all on this site... every1 tellin ya 2 press /nick n all dat shit jst no need! do it my way its alot easier!


Oh an 1 more thing the only thing i cant figure out is how 2 get the background colour of ur name changed (if it is even possible) any1 kno let me kno ASAP plz! wud b a big help

Firstly, you are not right. Your way is NOT the correct way to do it and deffonately it is NOT easier.

Have you even tried it? By the sounds of things you havn't.

Just follow the simple tutorials on the site.

1 - Why would it say on the OFFICIAL Messenger Plus! website to do that, if it was wrong? Answer that.

2 - It's not easier. If it was easier, it would say so on the Messenger Plus! site. But it doesn't.

arite fair enuff sum ppl mite think its easier your way but i find it 100000x easier to do it that way ^^ an im sure alot of other ppl will aswell

The answers given - I assume you are referring to the posts on how to colour your name and making it bold, underlined, ... with the /nick method - are not bullocks. They do work. If you couldn't get it to work, feel free to ask questions about what could be going wrong. For example, many people come here saying it doesn't work but forget to type a space after /nick.

These forums have a Search functionality. The main site at http://www.msgplus.net has a link to tutorials, which explain this and more. (The site seems to be down at the moment though.)

Many people find the way where you use /nick in a conversation window easier because it doesn't involve remembering these special codes; you can then simply use key combinations such as Ctrl-B to insert the code for bold. Additionally, this way people don't have to remember colour codes and put them in their name manually; simply clicking on them is enough then.

Additionally, you seem to have problems with background colours in your name. In a conversation window you could use Ctrl-K, click on a colour and then type a comma. The colour panel will come op again for you to select a background colour.

i dnt find rememberin a dot an a @ hard! n if u do u can jst copy this list n save it!

The conversation window method requires less effort though.
If you compare:
having to find and open a file that you have the codes saved in it, then copy and pasting them into your nick.
to:
Opening a conversation window (or using an already open one) yping "/nick" and holding down ctrl and pressing either B, K, R or U.

You'll see that the second one consists of less navigation, and effort.
Also if you have problems with the ctrl commands, you could aways use the formating tags (e.g. (!FB)) with the /nick method
