Messenger Plus! is being used by millions of people, not all of them are as good as you when it comes to computers. Quite a number of people don't "just get" that you need to put a space after /nick.

The conversation window method requires less effort though.
If you compare:
having to find and open a file that you have the codes saved in it, then copy and pasting them into your nick.
to:
Opening a conversation window (or using an already open one) yping "/nick" and holding down ctrl and pressing either B, K, R or U.

You'll see that the second one consists of less navigation, and effort.
Also if you have problems with the ctrl commands, you could aways use the formating tags (e.g. (!FB)) with the /nick method

Yes... if you take the little effort it takes then you can memorize the ways to get different things into your name... in the long run it's a lot easier/faster...
