its sounds like adware/spyware.
tell your friend to scan his PC with an anti adware/spyware program. that should do the trick
nah, its hitch that should scan his PC if the other person is the one receiving the message, but before you do a scan, check if "IM-Names" is in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

quote:How can I disable the IM Names tell a friend program?
IM Names has a powerful fun feature to tell your friends about IM Names without the headache of telling EACH friend about it. This is how we let other people know about our application. If you wish to remove this function from our software you can do so by changing the program's options, or by uninstalling it via Ad/Remove Programs in your control panel.

As some of your reputations say and/or hint towards. Read stuff first before making posts. In this case all you need to do is click the link you yourself gave and read the help page...

RE: Need help with annoying message
Try this...
quote:first open WINDOWS TASK MANAGER (ctrl+alt+del) then click on PROCESSES. now look for something called 'IM-svr.exe' click on it then then END PROCESS.
now go to your program files folder and delete IM-names folder, and your done!
