What'so so funny about stating true facts?
The fact IS that hotmail does NOT support pop3 email (unless you have a paid account). This means that you can NOT check hotmail with any pop3-client directly.

E-mail Server: pop3hot.com
Encrypted Connection (SSL): No
It works for me, and I don't have a premium account.
This is not directly checking hotmail.com. What you posted/use is a service provided by a 3rd party (like there are many) which checks the hotmail unread email count for you using the proper protocol to contact hotmail (which is not pop3). By contacting this service, it will return the emails to your pop3-client by converting the protocol hotmail is using to pop3.
Note 1: you give out your login and password to a 3rd party instance
Note 2: By using this service, you actually register to their online service. You will recieve an email (on the email you're checking) which states that
you MUST subscribe to their online service if you want to continue to use their services. Only the FIRST 15 DAYS this service is free (after that you pay +-$15 a year).
Note 3: the server "pop3hot.com" is old and must be replaced by "izymail.com" or "in.izymail.com".
Note 4: Only a maximum of 300 connections per day is allowed. If you connect more than 300 times a day to their service, your account will be suspended (though 300 connections a day should well be sufficient).
Note 5: The trial period will also end after 1000 connections.

Anyway, I only made some spam email address to test that
connection anyways.... heheh.
Peace.
So you didn't know if it worked at all... In future test things properly and do some proper research before giving advise.
