O.P. all apps accessing the internet programs are blocked after installing plus
i recently installed plus live build 226
i know i shouldnt have but i had to have a look at it

anyway after installing it worked and i was quite impressed
however after restarting i cannot access google talk, WLM, firefox, azureus (torrent program) and internet explorer (32bit) but for some reason IEx64 still works.
azureus tells me that something is blocking a socket or something like that
i dont know if this is some sort of copy protection added to plus live to prevent users like me, or a bug associated with plus live on Windows XP x64

i am also running a hardware firewall (nvidia forceware) it could be a bug associated with that also

You should never ever use a leaked beta if you're not a beta tester....

Sorry to be so crude, but it is as simple as that.

You don't have all the (compatibily) information which beta testers have and which they should stick to too or take in account, hence why you have troubles at the moment.

I'd suggest to uninstall it and restore your system.

my guess is that you modified your host file to allow the beta to run on your system and you made a mistake in it.
