Actually this happens with me, but only with contacts who are using Dynamic DP.

I have the same problem to.
It just 'appeared' one day.

My PC isn't slow;
P4 3.6GhZ
1gb Ram
..

I turned off chat logging in both MSN and MsgPLus! ...

Current plugins :
- Stuffplug -NG
- iTunes Plugin

EDIT : I think I solved it ; I think it was because my chatlogs were getting to big;  I just made a new chatlogs folder ;.

If you turn off the loggin and the problem is still there then it's probably not a problem with the logging try turning off individual features and see which one causes the problems, that will narrow it down
