Reload2, it is very excellent to try to help. But if there are problems like this (heck, any problem), you don't go just giving vague general guesses.
At the least ask for more details. And if those details have been asked before, at least wait until there is a response to them.
There is nothing more frustrating for a helper when he/she posted a proper help post and others post some random general stuff after that without even knowing what the true problem is or knowing what the OP's specs are. These posts are meant well, but quite often cause more confusion, sometimes even more problems which needs to be tackled afterwards (and also quite often don't really give a proper fix if they fix anything at all).
It isn't the quantity that counts, but the quality.
PS: reinstalling will most likely not help at all since mshtml.dll isn't part of the MSN Messenger package anyways, it is part of Internet Explorer. It is called by MSN Messenger.

djsolidsnake86,
Mshtml.dll is responsible for the rendering of web pages. The problem isn't a Messenger Plus! problem, therefore I'll report this thread to be moved to the subforum "msn/windows messenger". Messenger Plus! and MSN Messenger are still two different programs; you don't chat with Messenger Plus! but with MSN Messenger; Messenger Plus! only adds some extra stuff to MSN Messenger.
Anyways, because of the nature of the error, it is very important that you give exact and detailed information so a proper fix (if it exists) can be searched. Thus if you encounter the problem again, make a post which clearly states what you were doing at that moment (eg: opening a chat window, opening a link, opening an image, chatting with 5 persons, etc, etc) and also to provide a screenshot of the basic error screen and if possible a screenshot of the detailed error screen which you can see when you press on 'details' or the likes in the error report...
In the mean time (and because details are missing), here is a list of possible causes of the error and more info about Mshtml.dll:

The next thing is a wild (but a bit calculated) hunch. It is also absolutely harmless if it didn't help:
Whenever you get the crash again, and after(!) you've taken your screenshots and all, make sure Messenger is completely closed and its process isn't running anymore
(check this by going to Task Manager with CTRL-ALT-DEL and selecting the process tab and search for msnmsgr.exe), do the following:
Start > Run > regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll
After that (and you pressed enter or 'ok' of course
) startup Messenger again and hope the crash is gone. It is important to do this only after you've got a crash because otherwise you (and we) wouldn't know if this is a possible fix or not.
