There aren't typically too many 15khz+ frequencies in loud music, so that part of the cochlea isn't even stimulated. Only the frequencies that you would play loudly in music get stimulated and worn out. Spoiler: the game.

Have you heard the longer version?
It starts from the same pitch, but then it begins to lower, so you should be able to hear it fine.
