The smilies on my contact list is not showing up for example for this smilie it comes up with the shortcut witch is : then P but its not showing the smiliey help please

Hmmm have you used custom names? they disable similies...

If you want to see them turn of custom names in Plus! (plus > preferences > contactlist > custom names), it is a well known limitation.

If you want it on the main window or conversation window-
In a conversation window click on Tools and check that Show Emotions is ticked.

If you want it on top of a conversation window-
Sorry to tell, but this cant be done .

nope still dont work. The funny thing is though on personal message the smiles work its just on my contact list were i click to start a convo then when i start it they still do not show

James, have you tried reinstalling?
[you did what sunshine and felu said, right?]

And have you patched your Messenger? It's actually an option in Mess Patch (Disable emoticons in nick)

Yeah ive reinstalled it and patch??? no i have not were do i get that from? its just on my friends main names

So you patched with Mess Patch? If so, open Mess Patch and choose restore backups and you should see the emoticons again

Felu, he means that emos are only missing in nicknames, not on PMs.
