Well...Polygamy (multimsn) is one of the new features in the forthcoming MessengerPlus! Live 4.00. So once it is released you will no longer need any other patches/add-ons.

When you use Windows Live Messenger that is.

Plus! Live will only work on Windows Live Messenger and thus you still would need another polygamy hard or soft patch for MSN Messenger 7.x or 6.x.

Yes, that is true, i forgot to mention that. If i'm not mistaken, StuffPlug-NG could do it (haven't used StuffPlus!-NG in a while so can't remember), and this works on MSN Messenger 7.x but needs MsgPlus!

You can either apply a soft patch or either a hard patch.

A hard patch is a tool which alters some bits and bytes of the original files of a program (which is actually illegal todo).

A soft patch alters those bits and bytes in memory, after the program has loaded. Therefor, such soft patches are also called "loaders".

Thus, to be able to get start more than one instance of Messenger you need to patch messenger. The ability to start more than once instance of Messenger is also called "polygamy", which is messenger-slang.

Well multimsn doesnt always need a patch. You can always use Windows Messenger, WLM/MSN Messenger, MSN Web Messenger, and other 3rd party MSN-compatible sofware/sites.

why was it called polygamy?
seems pretty stupid to me xD
