We'll i've had this sound problem ever since the last beta was out too my sounds work at times but other times it does this sound anyone know how i can fix it so the sounds work fully all the time thanks.

No i meant i had this sound problem since even The last beta to come out for Windows live Messenger before it went final all the other betas for windows live messenger my sounds for them always worked perfectly. But if anyone can help me fix this in version 0792 that be great.

Your post seems very hard to understand. By this "sound", do you mean the custom sound emoticon, a feature of Messenger Plus! Live? If not, do you mean the voiceclip feature that is there since MSN Messenger 7.5? If it is messenger plus! live, MP!L is still in beta and you are not allowed to use it if you are not a beta tester. It does not apparently seem that you are either... Perhaps that's an old build of MP!L and the bug has been fixed.

What i mean by sounds is like when someone chats with you or when someone signs in or you use a nudge what i mean is half of the time cuts off when i send  a nudge to someone or it doesn't play at all and for the sounds it either works fully when someone msg's me or gives that clicking sound like i provided in that recording sound file if anyone can help me with this this would be perfect thanks.

Go to Options > Tools > Sounds and Alerts and see if all options are ticked

are your sound card drivers up to date?

Personal Settings> Alert and sounds>Make sure you have checked all of the options to enable everysound, though that should have been done by default. Also, are the sound files present? Check the directory of the sound files according to your settings and see if the files are there. It would greatly help if you could punctuate your posts next time (commas and periods really help). @_@

Yeah i just did what you mentioned. The sound files are present. But they still make those clicking sounds.

Animal thanks for your advice i just updated my sound card with the installer they had for Sound Blaster live and now my sounds are all perfect

Well you arent even supposed to use 8.0.0792 cause its still buggy, even though it works perfectly fine with me.

mess.be said that build 0792 is buggy and that you should stay with 0787.
