Hey guys,
Ive got one problem using WLM.
When i try and change my nickname, it doesnt get updated. It shows on the main dashboard as updated, but it doesnt update in the contact list(since i added myself on msn). And then, if i sign out(after trying to update my nickname), the next time i sign in, it shows the 8004005 error ALWAYS. Now, i know that if i delete the windows live contacts folder that the error goes away, but the problem is that i cant change my nickname, wihtout the error coming up next time i sign in. The only way i can change my nick is to sign into windows messenger, change it there, and then go back to wlm.

Any Solutions?

I have gotten this EXACT problem too...and its solved.

First of all, do you have the lastest version of WLM (8.0.0787)?

It should fix the problem.

If you do have it, does your display name start with a hyphen with many spaces behind it?

If you do, try removing the spaces, change it, then add spaces if you want, but I would recommend only less than 10 spaces, as it doesnt update if this happens.

Next time, try looking through the forums first. This has been discussed before in 2 different threads created by me!

and yea, it was a problem with SPACES....i had too many so i got rid of some of them...
