RE: proposed theme changeor addition
How about not mixing any more colours in to it?
NEVER use more than two primary colours without proper reason or you're asking for trouble and a crappy looking page.

Green and orange is a secondary colour so it's all good then.  Green is meant to go best with red and orange with blue btw. |

No, primary colours in terms of this means colours which are used constantly throughout the site and you have big chunks of them in.

That's what I was think, just don't have the skills to show it. I think it fits in really well with th MP!L homepage as well, good job 
EDIT: Only thing that I would think of improving is the colour of the links because it doesn't seem to sit nicely with the orange, but that's all that I can think of.
