Are you using a RTL language? If so, Plus! tabbed chats doesn't (currently) work for RTL messenger versions. Patchou may add this feature in a future build .
When you first signed into msn with MP!L did you choose the option to tab chats? If you didnt this may have started the problem. Try re-installing MP!L and tick yes i want tabbed chats.
