in my contact list i can't see my contacts' emoticons. for instance, instead of the flower, it just has the ( f ). its also like this when i talk to them. any ideas how to fix this?

'cuz on MSN 7.5 I've had the same problem..

Do you use Mess Patch or some other patches?

In the contact list go to Tools>Options>Messages and tick Show Emoticons.

Or... if your still in 7.5 with Messenger Plus!3... if you're using the rename contact feature in MP!, then the emoticons won't show up.

hey thanx UTI, that worked. ill jus give up on the custom names thing! thanx alot!

The reason for this is that Custom Names relies on Messenger displaying e-mails, which of course don't have emoticons, so they don't get parsed.
