I always knew Eljay was insignificant () but, when this whole situation touched me, I decided to report it (kidding ofcourse)

And when I try to search (with WLM's search bar thingie) him on my contact list, I ain't able to find him, even though he is there!

BUT, if he changes it to
·$7·# Eljay·0 =  Eljay
(Notice the space between the # and the E)
or to bbcode instead of IRC style color codes, I'm able to find him!

So yeah, this is a Plus! Live bug

By the way, this can be confirmed with any nickname.

Yeah, but it's a minor one... that was my point. If your friend makes his nickname unreadable, you can't give Plus! the responsibility to make selected fragments of it searchable. If his nickname really is ¤#"&/George--531.::¤#", well -- then his nickname really is ¤#"&/George--531.::¤#" and not just George. Besides, there's a practical problem as well: The search feature is a feature in the main program, not in Plus!.

Can't confirm: it always works for me. And I'm fairly sure he doesn't have a space at the start of his name at the moment.

Hmmm, I just changed my Display Name to ·$7·#Kotjze·0 and, since I have added myself, I search Kotjze and it found me.

Edit: lol It found me because my email address starts with kotjze@....... I tried again but put ·$7·#loltestlol·0 and it couldn't find me when I search loltestlol.

I know: we tested it with IRC codes, and I can now confirm the bug
