Does anyone know exactly how the presence of that file there causes this issue? I'm very intruiged.

It's a file from SmileyCentral, another add-on that isn't compatible with Messenger Plus! Live.

I was looking for more detailed info, but at least I know where it's coming from (and not to use that method myself).
