Hi !
First, I wanna tell you that I am french and my english isn't very well so please excuse me.
My name's raphael and I'm 13 years old.
I directly liked msg+ when I knew it. Indeed it allows lots of extras for msn (now wlm)
But I have a problem with WLM and the new version of MSG+
In fact, since I have installed msg+, wlm cannot run ! When I run it, there is a bug and it closes.
I have the complete version (not the beta).

PS : sorry if my post isn't clear but now I'm going to watch a DVD on TV and in France, it's already 9PM

Please answer the following questions:
- Whats your full messenger version (help > about)?
- What's your full Plus! version (plus > about)?
- Are you using any patches?
- Are you using SmileyCentral?
- Do you get any errormessages? If so what do they say exactly (screenshot)?

I cannot view my version of plus with plus >> about because WLM doesn't run (it closes) and so i haven't got any menu. I have to uninstall plus to run WLM. But the file's name is MsgPlusLive-400.exe and it's the latest version (downloaded on msgplus.net)
Oh and now WLM wont run whereas plus is uninstalled
I'll reboot my computer and tell you later what is my version of WLM but I think it's the 8.0.0737 or about it (it's also the latest)

No I haven't neither patches nor SmiliesCentral.

Sorry but it's in French In English it could be :
Messenger has met a problem and has to close. Sorry for the nuisance (the French word is désagrément but I don't know its translation in english, and nuisance is by Google)
Maybe you know this error ....

yeah i've encountered the same problem. i am even using the later edition of WLM (8.0.0792) and the error says that :

AppName: msnmsgr.exe      AppVer: 8.0.792.0     AppStamp:4493215b
ModName: kernel32.dll      ModVer: 5.1.2600.1106      ModStamp:3d6dfa28
fDebug: 0       Offset: 00016392

Looks like a WLM error to me (not a Plus! one), a repair of WLM should fix it (redownload WLM fresh, run installer again and choose repair).

I've tested to repair but it didn't work
I'll do a virus scan and spyware scan, it may be because of them

If it won't work, i'll let messenger + and test others patches (hope there are mitres in another because it's my favourite function )
once again I don't know the English word for onglets ... (sorry but I'm French )

no it's still not working....

I am guessing that you have msn shell or some other addon to messenger, maybe just the slate skin, anyway, heres how i fixed the problem:
First, open add/remove programs, delete the following:
Windows Live Messenger
Windows Live Sign in assistant
MSN Shell (if you have it)
MSN Slate (if you have it)
any other addon to msn that you can find


Next, Download the latest wlm and msg+Live

Install,
