What:
I'm busy with creating a script that can control your lpt1 port. So if you make your own circuit (described below) then you can control almost everything from wlm (your computer or somewhere else on earth
).
Here it goes, first of all, here a picture from your lpt1 port:
The pins for data are: 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
The pin for the mass: 18
Just remeber this for a while....i'm sure you can
Here the circuit you need to make your own:
You need to make this circuit 8 times (for 8 different pins). The leds on the circuit are on when the circuit is open and off when the circuit is closed...(you'll know)
+ You connect the data line with the data pins (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9)
+ You connect the - with mass (each time)
+ You put the + and - from the circuit between an excisiting circuit (let's call it 2) so that circuit2 will be closed when the led is on and the data port is on.
With my script: WLM RControl you can control your lpt1 port (later perhaps more then one, but let's start with one)...
You need to buy:
R1 = 8 x 4,7 kohm
R2 = 8 x 1 kohm
D1 = 8 x LED
T1 = 8 x BC 547B
SUB-D connector male 25-polig
Costs:
about € 3,50
So you pay € 3,50 for full remote control, that's nothing
Why:
If you made everything correct then you can remote control 8 different things from everywhere in the world (where they have wlm or msn).
I'm also looking at the possibility to make it work through sms with wlm, so it you recieve a sms message like 'turnon1' it will turn on pin 1
When:
The script is already working by calling a dll, but i'm waiting to make a descent config window (sorry, i wan't it to be perfect
)... So as soon as i have a config window i will release version 1..
Where:
Just check this thread.....
