Hi, i'm encountering problems viewing if my contacts are actually online or offline. 
Some of my contacts are shown as offline when i know for definate they are online (and yes i'm more than 100% sure they have not blocked me).

Sometimes when i'm in a multi-way conversation, a contact could be shown as offline when they're online and talking. I'm really not sure if this is Messenger Plus Live or not. But it's been happening for quite a while and is really annoying.

If anyone else has any ideas to fix this... please help.

Brief: Contacts are shown as offline when they're not.

Looks like there are server problems again at WLM side. There's several having the same problem. You can't do anything about it either...only wait till the serverproblems are over.

Yeah, it's been happening for months, but i only just decided to register to this site.

You can try and see if this helps:


1. Sign out   of Messenger.

2. Click   "Start," click "Run," type   %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application   Data\Microsoft\Messenger\, and   then click "OK."

A new Microsoft Windows   Explorer window   opens.

3. In the window, click your Messenger   ID.

4.   Double-click the "Contacts" folder.

5. Delete the two   folders   that you see in the "Contacts" folder.

6. Sign in to Messenger     again.
