O.P. WLM/Yahoo! Intergration
I'm just wondering what would happen if this scenario happens:
If my account xxxx@yahoo.ca is already a Windows Live ID, and I sign up xxxx@yahoo.ca for the WLM compatability, and I log in in WLM as xxxx@yahoo.ca, but at the same time, I log in as xxxx@yahoo.ca in Y!M 8.
What would happen?

RE: WLM/Yahoo! Intergration
My guess is you will be able to log into both just fine as always. But to be sure...just try it
Reasoning: the interop is only to be able to communicate between the two IM clients. You can even add your yahoo addy to WLM and talk to yourself...if all's good it should differentiate wether you are on yahoo or WLM incase you got your own WLM addy on WLM too (in this scenario there might be a problem/bug/limitation but i'm sure they'd be interested in that one).

RE: WLM/Yahoo! Intergration
That's a very good question, and AFAIK , Sunshine's reasoning is quite solid. At the moment, if you signed up a yahoo id & signed the yahoo id up for a windows live id and add it to the contact list, 2 addresses are added to it. The "bug" has been reported and is being looked at by the interop management team.

RE: WLM/Yahoo! Intergration
Signing in from Y!M will sign in to the yahoo account. Y!M is not capable of signing in to a passport, and WLM isn't capable of signing in to a yahoo account.

I meant signing up a Windows Live ID with an existing email adress, in this case a Yahoo! one.
And thanks y'all for your replies. I'll be reading, but most likely not answering cause than it'll be PAM:!

Should work just fine, but you can somply try it like Sunnie said, register your Yahoo address as Live ID on http://www.passport.net/.

Well that was all done a while back, but anyways...
NEW QUESTION: When a add a Live ID-associated Yahoo! account, how can I diffrenciate the one that uses Yahoo! Messenger and the one that uses Windows Live?
When I just tried it, it wouldn't let me add another xxxxx@yahoo.ca as it was already added as a contact (as I was already using Live ID for that account) previously.

Yes, there are some problems with that. I'm in the managed Yahoo Interop beta, and there are a few bug reports about that. Should be fixed in a while. I believe that when you add a Yahoo+LiveID account that isn't on your list yet, it will add the contact twice, one for Yahoo and one as LiveID.

Also, it seems like that I am unable to add Live ID accounts using Y!M that already have xxxx@yahoo.ca as a Live ID on their contact list. Therefore, I cant see them on Yahoo! Messenger....
