I think it would be cool if the Text Area.. is Grayed out for a specified amount of time that you can change in the plus menu

Offline Message Manager

- Enable/Disable Text Area [ 5 ] (Grays out the Text Area etc for 5 seconds, so you cannot type anything, until 5 seconds has passed)

- Disable Offline Instant Messages (When contact is Offline, keep the Text Area Disabled & Gray, prevents sending Messages)

What do you guys think you can do?

Perhaps intergrate this into helping when you send a Mobile Message to someone as well, same options

I could add it, and you can disable it in the menu, but that'll have to wait 'til tomorrow, I'm going to sleep right now

No Prob keep my suggestion in mind for Mobile Messages also

if anyone cares i wrote a tutorial on making the infobar red (or any other colour) so that it's more visible.

Well, I checked it today, and unfortunately, I can't lock the EditText, it is a read only property. The last script is the best I can do

i don't think i personally really need a warning....

i do like the idea that somebody spoke of first, grayed out txt area etc (as if you yourself were offline)

edit: oh.. i see, problem with permissions... gerr..

Luckily it's a bit more than a warning. It also blocks the message, it wont send it, unless you click the toast...

So you Can Not send an offline message by accident...
