I remember seeing it some where... the option of colouring ur nic in other's msn list. but i cant remember where i found that option...and i know its out there cause i have a few ppl on my list with multi colourednics

You need to write [c={insert number}] Nickname [/c] where {insert number} is quicknumber set by MP!L or the hexadecimal of the colour or even the decimal value of the colour.
I think Patchou should add this information to the MP!L site again like there was with MP! so that it is easier fo people to get this information.
on tools left of the nick box there should be a format codes..if you have messenger plus live click on that and select colours or Bold itallic and underlined or the T icon for gradient
