Hi.. I been using Plus! for a long time.. But... In Portugal Big Brother is growing very very vey very fast and I and all my friends start to worry about our privacy.

So:
It's cool some kind of encription on chat conversations and on file transfers.

I know that on chat it's possible.. an MSN substitute (Mercury www.mercury.to ) has already chat to chat encription. It would be very very nice...

commercial product.. hum.. isn't possible to have it in Plus!
I requested it for Plus! because A LOT of people use it.. it would be easier to have a global encripted chat..

The "Simp Lite" version is free.

I see no problem with Patchou building encryption support into Plus!, but thought you would want to know about a solution already available.

I think it would be really great if there was built in encryption in Plus! Most of my friends refuse to install things like Simple Lite, but a lot of people use Plus!

wouldn't it be possible to set up a scrambler with a script, as long as each person on each end had the same decrypter key (maybe a random md5?)

Unless you are involved in illegal stuff you really shouldn't worry at all. The chances that they would record a chat from a random teenager/man is far less than the chance the earth would be hit by a massive meteor.

And even if they did (which they btw can't without any reasons), what have you to hide? The name of that girl you fancy while you are in another relationship?

yep, it sure is possible and extreamly easy to do.

for example:
[Release] Dencryptor v1.60

This is the function that i miss with msg plus, I been using this amazing this software for ancient time and using it with secway, but I don't like the need to add an Extra program for this, and my friend also don't know much about computer.

I really, really like the idea that this should be include in a future version of MSG Plus.
