One of my teachers showed this site as a demo to the power of CSS yesterday, and I was rather amazed to what a CSS can do to a page, and how different it can be. As I have never really went into page design this is new to me, and a bunch of people here probably already know all of this...
anyways, the page without any CSS is
http://csszengarden.com/?cssfile=null. 972 CSS designs are available, but most are external so may be broken.
What I was amazed by is basically the whole site layout is controlled by CSS.
But,
quote:
This xhtml document is marked up to provide the designer with the maximum possible flexibility.
There are more classes and extraneous tags than needed, and in a real world situation, it's more
likely that it would be much leaner.
However, I think we can all agree that even given that, we're still better off than if this had been
built with tables.
Of the designs that I looked at, my favs are
http://csszengarden.com/?cssfile=182/182.css
http://csszengarden.com/?cssfile=http://agora.ula...v1/kill-billv1.css
can anyone find some other cool ones?
