i just saw this thread about the uxtheme. and i downloaded it, replaced the original one but now im stuck i dont know what to do know and how to use it. can anyone help me?

Restart your computer.

Go google for UxTheme.

Select the theme you want.

Then they have instructions there so may be different.

Once you're finished their instructions, go right click desktop and click properties, then Appearance and they are in the drop-down menu for Windows and Buttons.

The site i use is: http://themes.belchfire.net .

your url doesnt work sever down it says

It should appear when you google it too.

ok and if i download a theme from there. how can i install it? please dont say 'use google' cuz i dont know what to search for

edit: i downloaded 'eminence' from deviantart, but its a wba file. how to use that? i want a theme that fits with its background

Google for UxTheme.

To install Belchfire stuff: Go to C:\WINDOWS\Resources and un-zip everything there. Some might come with its own 'Resouce' file, so you need to cut its contents and paste it into the default Resouce. DO NOT DELETE THE ORIGINAL RESOURCE because it also contains the default Windows one too.


What you got there is a WindowsBlind. It is a different thing than UXTheme. I'm not a computer-pro so I cant really tell you why. Use the vista one.

too late. thios afternoon i patched everything and renamed everything. means i dont have abnything original... i think its time for a format c:..

When u patch it you just restart your machine

when u download .wba files thats because you need Windows Blinds to use them IIRC

You can search for thousands of other themes in deviant art, and not require WB

when u download them go to C:/Windows/Resources/Themes

place the file there

then double click and select what u want (Depending of your theme)

colors, fonts, minimal, etc.
