I'm having some troubles with the Vista bootloader.

I uninstalled Vista (I didn't like it...) and used fixmbr and fixboot from the XP recovery console to get rid of the bootloader.

The only problem I'm left with is that I can't get rid of the files in the boot folder. I get "Access Denied" from both cmd and the recovery CD. I tried using VistaBootPRO, but that didn't do anything. Somewhere recommended running fixntfs -xp from \boot, but I don't have that program.

Anyone any other suggestions.

Thanks Adeptus, that worked well... I'd forgotten about safe mode totally.
