When I try to send the emoticon sounds it doesn't let me. It says "An error occured while contacting the server, please try again later. If the problem persists, check your security settings."

Wait a while and it should work, try it again in 5 minutes. It's just an issue with you being able to "contact" the sound server.

Chris4, the first link doesn't work and wj's reply doesn't really do me any good.
