I've been using Messenger Plus! Live with Windows Live Messenger for around a month now and for some reason, it keeps vanishing every so often. It's still listed in my Add/Remove Programs list in the Control Panel, but I can't find it anywhere else on the the computer, even using a search.

I was using it last night, and had no problems with it, but when I started Windows this morning, there was no sign of Messenger Plus at all. This is the third time this has happened, and it's getting annoying that I have to keep reinstalling it. Is there any way to stop this happening?

I'm using Windows Messenger 8.0 on Windows XP Home version and am currently not using any anti-virus software as the last one I used wasn't very good so I'm trying to find a decent one.

Is there anybody else in your household that could be uninstalling it?

Nope, I'm the only person that uses the computer, noone else knows how to even switch it on.

I am having the same problem - all of a sudden my tabs are gone and so are my away messages.  I tried downloading it again and now I am getting an error message telling me that it isn't valid.
