I changed my chatlog settings to save as plain text but nuthin changed. How can I save all my chatlogs as plain text? I have tried re-installing Messenger Plus live and changed the settings again but nuthin happened. please help me.

Plus! > Preferences > Conversations > Chat Logging . Save as plain text

As far as I know, Plus! will only save the new chatlogs you made after you've changed the setting. I don't know if there's a way to convert existing logs to text... maybe someone else knows more about it?

After you've clicked save as plain text, only chatlogs after you've clicked will become as plain text, all the others will stay as what they were

yeahh, see there's another problem. After I've changed the settings and I talk to my friends, chatlogs doesnt save as notepad but it does to XHTML which im not a fan of.

just rename it to *.txt

that's absolutely not going to change them to text. All you will do is renaming the file; The file will still be a XHTML log.

(and you don't need to rename to .TXT if you want to open them in notepad; XHTML is text too so you can simply open them in notepad. Though you will see XHTML code)

Change back to XHTML, press apply and change to TEXT again, and press apply.

Make also sure you have enabled the option "Save all my chats to log files by default".

Also check your "Contacts Filter" settings. Make sure the contacts you wanna log are selected in the filter.

And double check the destination directory where your logs will be saved in.

After checking everything and pressing on the "Ok" or "Apply" button, restart Messenger.




If this doesn't fix your problem, then try to download the latest version of Messenger Plus! Live (version 4.10.250 has just been released).
