Ok the problem is wene i try to open windows media centre on my pc an error comes up and if i press ok this comes up then if press cancle and this comes up if i press retry nothing happens. What can i do? (this pc was given to me by my uncle he brought it from dell but it didn't come with a reboot disk its a Dimension 3100 with windows xp media center edition 2005 any i deas wat to do, it happend wen my little cousin bashed the keyboard in, Tnx in advance)

How old is the PC? It might have a warrenty thing that dell usaly offer. They always giv atleast 1 year service. so if its in warrenty i am more than sure Dell will help.

on the recipt he printed it says ''Date and Time: Tuesday 10 January 2006'' but not sure wene he got it.

Have you tried a system restore?

cant i had some trouble a few days ago and hade to turn it off so all the system restore points got deleted

Hopefully then there is some type of Ref. number? if so i would give Dell a call and see what they can do. But if i was you i would not hang about with this as most likly he has bought it in the sales after xmas.

It's a good thing, if so it should just still be in warrenty by by a few weeks.
