i am using windows live messneger plus! version 4.11 i can work out how to colour the text, but could anyone tell me how to get a background, would be very helpful

Use "[a='colour number here'] text [/a]"

Tools>Options>Display Name>Format Codes>Click on the "T">Background.

i cant work that out, my msn name is currently [c=13]  Titch   [/c]  the C=13 is pink, for the writing i would like to put a black background in, how do i do that, everytime i tried it just deletes the C=13

[c=13][a=1]   Titch   [/a][/c]

Try this:
[a=1][c=13]  Titch   [/c][/a]
