In my Notification area, in the task bar. by misstake somehow i changed the size of my icons and now its anyoing and i'me not sure how to change them bac. i am using media centre edition

I'm not sure if its correct layout with XP and MCE, but try this:

Display Properties -> Appearance Tab -> Advanced button

I think there is something like "taskbar icon".
