I recommend Core Temp. It's the most widely trusted temperature monitor used by overclockers.

However, unless you're overclocking (or you think you have a temperature problem [which I doubt unless you've changed the clock speed]) there's not really a need.

The advantage of SpeedFan over CoreTemp is that SpeedFan allows you to change the speed of you fans (hence the name) to compensate for your temperature. It also shows the temperature of other parts of the computer, such as the case and hard drive temperatures.

What do you mean by that post? The temp for a CPU to work correct or what? I know that CPUs must be build to work until they reach 76°C. Standard and norm of CPUs and stuff.

Search on google for more information. This is what I can provide you by hear and read...

40C is a good temperature for an idle CPU, 50-55 for a working one
