I have this question, how do I permanently remove contacts and trace from messenger? basically the problem is, even though I remove contacts from the list and whether I block them or not, and even delete them from hotmail contacts, the contacts will still appear under tools->options->privacy. How can I PERMANENTLY delete these contacts? Thanks in advance.

They appear on 'Who has you added list', you can't change that. Only if they delete you will they disappear from there.
And if you don't have them blocked and you've deleted them from both your hotmail account and your messenger list, they shouldn't show up at all (Only on the 'Who has you added list')

no they will appear on the 'allowed' and 'block' lists

you cant permanently remove contacts.
You can delete a contact from your allowed or block list by right clicking on it and clicking 'delete'.
What you can not remove them from is from the 'Contacts that have you added' which you can see by clicking Privacy then 'View'
