Hi everyone!

I've tried the search button but I haven't found anything similar to my question.

I have Messeneger Live 8.0.0812.00 and I have updated Meseneger Live.

When I open Messenger (on the contact window), I can see my name just as it was before, with the same color and format, but when I'm talking to someone, on the part that says "Contact/Name says:" it ain't right.

On my window, the name appears, but it's not formated or in a diferent color.
And it has the html codes on it, like this:
[c=X][_b] text/name [/_b][/c] (X is a random color, and I added the "_" on the [/b] code so you could see it).

On the other hand, people to who I talk to, see the name as it always was (If they have plus).

Oh, another thing, on the contact window, right below the name and personal message, there are various icons, for e-mail, color, etc.
On those icons there was a Messenger Plus icon, which I can't see anymore as well...

Do you have stuffplug-plugin installed?

Nop, I haven't installed Stuff Plug.
I'm going to host some screen-shots of the problem so I can explain it better.
Nothing similar to stuff plug is on.

I do have 2 scripts though

Have you tried disabling the scripts and see if it's still the same?

I tried it now...
Disabled them and restarted messenger, still the same.

Try removing the skin and see if you can see the icon.

Also, do you use or did you previously use sweetim or smiley central?

Any other patches like messpatch?

that means that plus! isnt hooking the convo, i had that when i patched with mess patch (some option messes it up)

check if the emote panel comes up when you type ( and the plus! button works.

Reverted to the normal skin, but the icon didn't reapear.
Never had sweetim or smiley central...
But I do have the a-patch.
I had it running well with the old Plus. Maybe that's the problem.
I'm going to see if I can fix it.

ok try without a-patch, maybe an option in that is causing the problem.

Easy way out of it, reinstall messenger.

Yup, I've confirmed it now.
It's from the patch! I was "testing" some things here when I got this message saying that an external program was interfering with Plus.

EDIT: Tested another funny thing. I ran into the old instaler from my previous version of Plus, and installed it. Everything went back to normal, now I'm certain, I'll have to leave a-patch behind when I update everything and get it running well again
