Does anybody know of a good program that i can install on my pc and then go downstairs and install it so that i can view my screen
It needs to be, (iff possible) a program that stays running so i can just run the porgram downstairs and my screen is just always there?

I recommend RealVNC

Or, if you don't want to use other programs, you can use the (Professional edition only) build-in Remote Desktop feature.

Remote Desktop client is available for Home Edition though.
