I'm from the Netherlands and can't find a way to get me an auto-message! :S

I'm using windows live messenger (in Dutch) with an WLM Universal Patcher (v0.9.3).

Do I need to install a different patch first?

Install Messenger Plus Live, and then when you set your status as Away you can put a auto message.
