O.P. Error reports
I turned on my laptop as usual and plugged the power cord in and a bubble popped up saying "Found new hardware" and then the hardware setup wizard came up but I clicked cancel because I didn't have any hardware plugged in. The a bubble then came up saying "Your hardware could not be installed and may not work properly".

I just ignored this but now when I try to use internet explorer or WLM I get an error report and the only way to continue using the program is to ignore it. See pictures.

Any idea why this is happening and how I can stop it?

Well if you do a sys restore that might help. If you installed anything latly you might want to think twice.

Do you have any CD with drivers?
That should be included with your computer.

No it won't.

It's unusual for a modem to be on a hi-def audio bus. Anyway, it looks like your machine's 'lost' its modem drivers.
