Why won't it let me change my preferences? It's not password protected. When I open the window to change anything, and then click apply all of the changes I made don't stay. Also, I was chatting happily away about 20 minutes ago and all my chats were tabbed and now they're all un-tabbed and it won't let me change them back! What's going onnnn?
It sounds like something went wrong with storing your settings in the registry. Make sure you have full access to the registry (are you on a limited Windows account?) and that your Windows is in tip-top shape. Thus Make sure your harddisk isn't corrupted (this is eventually where the registry is physically stored) and that Windows is running ok.
