Well, I looked at the scripting, and it flew over my head. At least for now. But anyway, I REALLY need a way to limit the text received, if possible. I've looked through the rest of MP!L and found no way to do so.

See, whenever I annoy my friend, she uses the capability of MP!L to extend the text amount a heck of a lot more to crash alternately my computer or WML with a heck of a lot of emoticons. I've managed to keep her from crashing my comp by turning off emoticons, which is annoying, but the sheer amount of text still freezes up WML.

Obviously, this is really annoying. So, is there a way to limit the amount of text recieved? By script, as it seems like it would have to be by now, or otherwise?

Sure it's possible to shorten the text, but this won't stop WLM freezing/crashing at all.
This is due to the fact that MP!L only gets access to the messages after WLM has received the message already.

AGH.



So is there any other way to stop her?

1. Don't use WLM (which requires more memory then alternatives).
2. Don't annoy her.
3. Get a more powerful PC =P

if you have commands enabled type "/block" thats a good way to stop it

The message would still come through.

Try my (now first) idea "Don't use WLM (which requires more memory then alternatives)." if you don't mind loosing new WLM features.

I've got no clue what those features are, but I do know that the old MSN Messenger is insensitively ugly.
