I found a bug:

If I deactivate the option "Add Messenger Plus! buttons in the contact list", sign out and sign in, the buttons continue in contact list.

If I deactivate that option, exit messenger, and sign in again, the option was activated automaticaly.

I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate.
Latest Messenger Plus! and Windows Live Messenger

This is not a bug it's simply a limitation, and it even says when you disable it: "You need to restart Messenger for the changes to take effect" or something along those lines.

exit = restart

Blah I misread it, I thought you were saying the buttons only disappeared when you restarted rather than just signed out.

Cannot confirm this bug, the buttons are gone if I disable it and then restart WLM.

Icons was still appearing on contact list when I signout and re-signed in after cleaning that box in Preferences. However when I exit Messenger fully and sign in, buttons have gone. So there is no bug here, at least in my Messenger.

ok.. the bug is only when you're using a skin =)

lol... with the original skin, the option works.
