O.P. Stop stealing?
hi, is there a way to stop contacts from stealing my winks and emoticons? not sure what they are using. i am guessing its stuffplug3. It takes a long time searching for good stuff and then my contacts just steal it when i send them. I dont think there is anything i can do but i thought id ask the experts in here anyway. Thanks a lot!!

plain and simple...no, when you send a emoticon/wink is sent to a contact, its actualy sent to their computer, so they can view it, so all they need to do is access that file, and convert it to the usual formats, thats (what i assum) the stuffplug3 does

Emoticons can be saved using WLM anyway - just right click > Add

They don't need SP3 to steal emotes. - It's just a feature of messenger( A good one, I might add)

the right click to add won't work, but SP3 will still be able to steal them.

deAd is right, the reason being, the user who has bought the emoticon sends it to your computer without knowing. And SP3 just finds where it is stored and saves it.

I dont know wheather i'm allowed to give out its location so i wont say where the paid emoticon is automatically sent to on your computer

Basically, any image your contact sees, whether it be wink, emoticon, display picture etc they ALL get sent to the contacts computer(how else would they see it?) And all stuffplug does is go to the folder where they are stored and get them. It's simple, you could do it manually but it's a lot easier to use SP or something ;p

There is absolutely no way of letting the other perosn see an image without storing it on they're computer somewhere.
